Interstellar cover on Hans Zimmer's Official Site

Greetings All!

Like many composers, my career has been directly influenced by Hans Zimmer's work. A defining moment for me was during the showing of Batman Begins in my local theatre. “I want to make music like THAT!” The experience was so remarkable that I transitioned my desire from being a rockstar, to becoming a classical composer. As an homage to that moment in the theatre as it maps onto my current voice, I wrote Stellar Beginning, a fantasia on the theme from Interstellar. All the music was composed, mixed, and mastered by myself except for a short sample of Lasiurus from the Batman Begins Soundtrack, which can be briefly heard at the climax of the piece. Because the Interstellar theme was in the key of A minor, and the sample from Lasiurus was in G minor, deciphering the melodies and orchestration by ear, I rewrote all of the “Interstellar sounds” that occur in this piece using my sample libraries and virtual instruments in order to match the key of the Lasiurus sample. Please check it out here and enjoy!
